Big brands are now launching tablets in the market – one after another. Earlier this month, Amazon unveiled its Kindle Fire tablet at a budget price of US $199. Now, ViewSonic has also launched its new tablet “Viewpad 7e” in the market at a similar budget price of US $199 (Approx Rs. 9600/- in Indian Currency).
The Viewtab 7e has some decent specs for the price and runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread. This surprised us a bit though as we were expecting it to run Android Honeycomb (the Android meant for Tablets). Anyways, lets take a look at the specs and features of the Viewtab 7e tablet.
- 7 inch screen with a 1024 x 600 resolution display
- 1 GHz single-core processor
- 512MB of RAM
- 4GB internal storage
- 3MP rear camera and a VGA camera on the front
- mini-USB & micro HDMI-out port and a micro-SD slot
- Runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread and has ViewSonic’s Viewscene 3D user interface which is quite good.
- Comes pre-loaded with Swype keyboard replacement app.
