Sony Ericsson may come up with new smartphones that supports the PSP gaming platform. Sony Ericsson President Bert Nordberg hinted about this in an interview published in the monday issue of ‘Mobile World Congress Show Daily’. He quoted – “We missed the window for high-end and touchscreen devices big time…. Part of the recovery will be much better design and closer work with our partner Sony…. In the past there was no tie-up between us, the PSP platform and Sony, but you can expect to hear much more about that”.
He also added that upcoming SE phones will redefine home environment connectivity by providing a common communications interface for household devices like TV, Stereo, PC etc. SE is expecting to regain its hold in mobile gaming market with these PSP phones. But considering the dominance of iPhone in mobile gaming sphere, it seems to be a difficult (but not impossible) task. Â Meanwhile, Sony Ericsson also introduced new Android based phones including the Xperia X10 mini and mini pro and the Symbian powered Vivaz pro at the ongoing MWC. May be we can hear more about the delicious-sounding PSP phones at the upcoming E3 which is just around the corner.
