In CES 2010, Samsung has unveiled a very weird laptop – a laptop with a transparent screen. The laptop that Samsung showed is actually a prototype of a 14-inch OLED display laptop. The display has a transparency factor of about 40% as opposed to the industry standard of 25%.
The laptop’s display is being touted as the first and largest OLED display. While it is clear that such a type of transparent screen will not find any realistic use in a laptop, such types of displays might find applications in other areas.
