Earlier this month, a test build of Android 2.3 “Gingerbread” was leaked. If you want Gingerbread on your Galaxy S, but are not willing to go through all the troubles of installing a test build, you might not have to wait for long.
A few days back, Samsung Mobile Romania has confirmed that the Galaxy S will be getting Android 2.3 “Gingerbread” this month. This is very good news for all the Galaxy S owners out there. If Samsung does roll out the Gingerbread update this month, it will go a long way in improving its image among users – many of whom consider Samsung’s software department to be not upto the mark after the relative long time they took to update the Galaxy S to Froyo.
In addition, they have also confirmed that Galaxy 3 and Galaxy 5 are getting Android 2.2 “Froyo” this month.

Iata cateva noutati despre upgrade-urile ce vor fi disponibile in luna martie pentru telefoanele voastre Samsung cu Android:
*pana pe 20 martie va fi disponibil pentru utilizatori update-ul la 2.2.1 pentru Galaxy S, si Gingerbread (2.3) pana la sfarsitul lunii.
*I5500 va primi upgrade la Froyo saptamana viitoare (14 – 20 martie).
*I5800 va primi upgrade la Froyo spre sfarsitul lunii (pana la 31 martie).
