Sony has added three more mobile phones to its Xperia range – the Sony Xperia Tipo, Tipo Dual and Miro respectively. All these mobile phones are targeted towards the budget phone users but Sony has kept in mind that it should be able to give the closest Xperia experience to the users even at low prices.
Sony Xperia Tipo and Tipo Dual are mostly similar to each other in terms of specs and features however the only difference between both the models is that the Xperia Tipo Dual has support for Dual SIM cards and Tipo supports only one SIM card. Let us now take a look at some features that are common to both these handsets:
- 3.5-inch TFT capacitive touch screen display with 480 x 320 pixels display
- Runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich)
- Powered by a 800 MHz processor
- 512MB RAM and 2.9 GB Internal Memory which is expandable upto 32 GB using a microSD card

- Just 13 mm thick and weighs almost 99 grams
- Has a powerful 1500 mAh battery
Looking at the specs and features of these phones we expect the Sony Xperia Tipo and Tipo dual phones to cost anything between US $500 to US $600 (Approx Rs. 24,000 in Indian currency to Rs. 28,000)
