There are rumors running around that Samsung is planning to launch a budget version of the Galaxy S called Galaxy Mini. However unlike the Galaxy S, many of which are yet to get Froyo in the US, this little phone is said to have Froyo pre-installed.
However, other than the fact that it will run Froyo, the other features are rather modest. It is said to feature a rather small screen of around 3-inch and a resolution of 240×320. We are guessing that the screen will not be SuperAMOLED. It is said to be running TouchWiz on top of Froyo. The processor is said to be not Hummingbird. So, it will be interesting to see if TouchWiz slows down the phone too much.
This little phone is expected to be announced officially in next month’s Mobile World Congress.
