DROID RAZR has been rescheduled for an unknown time frame than the previously slated for a Q2 2012 Ice Cream Sandwich upgrade. According to the newly updated list, DROID RAZR along with other DROIDs is now in the stage of ‘Evaluation and Planning’!
It smells that the company is trying to bridge the gap targeting Android smartphones in US. There are other devices too in the list which include DROID 4, DROID BIONIC, DROID RAZR MAXX, DROID XYBOARD 8.1 and 10.1, Motorola Electrify, as well as XOOM Wi-Fi and 3G. Some of the other models stated for a Q3 release with Android 4.0 are also with this tag now!
Except few models like MOTOROLA XOOM Family Edition, ATRIX 2, ATRIX 4G and PHOTON 4G, which are scheduled to receive the upgrade in Q2 and Q3 2012, rest of them are in ‘evaluation and planning’ stage for now.
We do not know what for Motorola is waiting for! Is it that these models are not capable enough of boarding Ice Cream Sandwich or is it planning to release the gadgets with Android 5.0, the ‘Jelly Bean’ version? Well, only time will show that!
