How To Check & Remove Carrier IQ Diagnostic Software From Android Smartphones
Recently there was a lot of public outcry owing to a hidden Carrier IQ mobile diagnostic software which is present in the handsets of many different smart phone companies across the world. Although it is being claimed that this software appears to be designed to help mobile network operators to improve coverage through metrics tracking but there is no clear way that provides users a clear opt-out path.
In order to fix this and address this issue, the good folks at Lookout Labs a pretty useful Android app called the Carrier IQ Detector that helps users find out if their Android handset has the Carrier IQ software and if yes, they can get get rid of the same using various guides available online or by downloading and installing the Lookout Security & Antivirus app on their Android phones.
