RIM’s first touch and type Bold smartphone “BlackBerry Bold 9900” has been launched in India and RIM has even started airing a few commercials for the phone here in India. The BB Bold 9900 is a revamped version of the existing Bold range of smartphones from RIM, the only difference being it has a capacitive touch screen along with the QWERTY keypad.
Among other things, the Bold 9900 has a few good enhancements such as the back-lit QWERTY keypad, BlackBerry OS 7, a faster processor, around 760MB of RAM and support for NFC. Touch and Type smartphones have already been available from a long time on the Android Platform.
The Blackberry Bold 9900 is currently available in India at a rather high price of Rs. 32,200/-.
